June 6 - Short Day for the concrete boys

First thing this morning, we got a phone call from the lumber yard. They then sent out a young man to survey how the joists and beams were dumped off yesterday afternoon by Mr. Personality. Turns out that the one damaged joist had been damaged before the truck was loaded. They had included a replacement in the load. We straightened out the pile and concurred that we must have everything that was ordered for our house from Cascade. So, all is well but Lockridge Lumber put Cascade Lumber on notice that Porky Yastrzemski will never be allowed to deliver another load for a Lockridge customer again. Evidently, it is not the first complaint about how this guy does his job for Cascade.

Today they cut the concrete floor, prepped the patio with bubble wrap and re-bar, and dumped gravel base into the garage.

Tomorrow they'll pour the patio. They plan to pour the garage floor on Friday.

The garage with a drain in the center.

You can see the saw cuts in the concrete floor.

Looking south across the garage.

This will be the patio area under the deck.
