August 14 - Here's the Before & After Pics

I hope you like this sequence of shots before the landscaping started followed by a current pic.

In the pic below taken in mid-April we had just received 8.25" of rain in 24 hours. There was at least 6 inches of red sludge on the concrete driveway. We've come a long was since that day. We are watering daily now to get all this grass to grow.

July 29 - Ta Da!

The fountain turned out pretty cool if I do say so myself.

They seeded the west side of the house and covered it with straw this afternoon. And, right on cue here comes some light rain this evening.

Tomorrow is the last day that the landscaper will be here. They should be planting some wildflowers back side of the house below the septic system and close to Trapper. They may be coming back later this fall if/when we decide to have him plant some trees. Now we just need some rainy days to get this grass going. Otherwise, lots of watering ahead.

July 28 - The Bubbler is bubbling!

The landscaping boys worked on Saturday and planted more shrubs and mulched.

The big news, however, is that we set our new bubbler rock in place and made it functional. For those of you that remember the water feature at our home in Long Grove, this one is much the same. There's only one place where the water bubbles out the top on this one, however.

Here are some fresh shots of the progress.

Today, I added some more rocks to be ready to have the area finished up with plants and mulch on Monday.

There are two rocks set side by side. The bigger one on the left weighs 1190 lb.

Here are some of the completed planted areas.
